Low volume Pattern extremum
This is a simplified Pine Script indicator that detects potential local tops/bottoms on any chart using only the current chart's volume.
How it works briefly:
Calculates z-scores (normalized deviation) over last 50 bars for:
• High price
• Low price
• Close price
• Volume
Looks for extreme price movement on very low volume:
• High > +1.65σ and volume < +0.5σ → potential top
• Low < –1.65σ and volume < +0.5σ → potential bottom
Adds simple wick filter (long wick ≥75% of candle range)
→ upper wick for tops, lower wick for bottoms
Plots small white triangles above (top signal) / below (bottom signal) bars
Main idea:
Big impulsive price spike with almost no volume + long rejection wick = classic sign of possible exhaustion or fake move.
Much simpler/lighter version compared to the multi-exchange ones.
