Astar Network to Add Asynchronous Backing Support in June

Waktu baca kurang dari 1 menit

Asynchronous

Astar Network is preparing to adopt Polkadot’s Asynchronous Backing in June, cutting block time from ~12s to ~6s. This change aims to deliver faster performance for developers and users. Alongside the speed boost, ASTR emissions per block will be reduced by 50% without affecting overall inflation. Staking and governance lockups will remain unchanged. The upgrade promises higher throughput, improved user experience for dApps, and more efficient block production. Developers relying on 12-second intervals are advised to review their integrations.

ASTR Info

Astar Network (ASTR) holds the distinction of being Japan's most favored smart contract platform. It facilitates support for both Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and WebAssembly (Wasm) environments, while ensuring interoperability between them via a unique Cross-Virtual Machine. An integral part of Astar's innovative approach is the Build2Earn program, which offers developers the opportunity to accrue incentives for the creation of decentralized applications.
