Keystone Expands Zcash Support With Passphrase Wallets

Keystone Hardware Wallet has released firmware update V-2.2.6 (Cypherpunk), introducing passphrase support for Zcash assets, enabling unlimited passphrase-based wallets. The update also improves Shamir’s backup functionality, strengthening security for users.

One distinctive feature of Zcash is its ability to ensure transaction privacy. While most blockchains, including Bitcoin, record transaction details in a public ledger (blockchain), Zcash offers a feature called “shielded transactions” that allows hiding transaction information, including sender, recipient, and transaction amount.

Zcash achieves a high level of confidentiality through the utilization of zero-knowledge proof protocols (zk-SNARKs).
