Tuesday- Core retail sales 8:30am, FOMC speakers Mester 8:15am, Bostic 8:55am, Barr 10am, Williams 12:15pm, Logan 3:15pm, Goolsbee 7:00pm
Wednesday- building permits 8:30am, Crude oil inventories 10:30am, 20 year bond auction 1pm
Thursday- unemployment claims 8:30am, Philly fed manufacturing index 8:30am, FOMC Jefferson 9:05am, Barr 9:30am, Logan 10am
Friday- All day G7 meeting, FOMC Williams 8:45am, Bowman 9am, the best for last J POWELL speaks at 11:00am
Retail companies report earnings this week
It’s a really important week ahead we have 14 Fed speakers creating volatility in the market which means VIX can go to 20 and the dollar keeps rallying. Friday university of Michigan number jumped 10 points the most since the 70s indicating stagflation is here to stay. We are at a pivotal point for direction the amount of uncertainty is about to tip. I’m not going to lie I had the worst day of the year on Friday it’s not bad to go 5 months without a major mistake and it was all mental, I knew better but the hope kicked in and I fell for the trap. I know I can make it all back that’s not the point of it, it’s just knowing better I knew what was coming and I froze. Trading is a battle of the self, you have to be very good at losing small and winning big. Pain and pleasure, I win move on I lose move on!
