Once the market dropped 30%, hedge funds cashed in on their insurance policies and used those funds to buy back into the market while claiming a “bottom” was in place. The rapid rise out of recession will push them into a safe area where they can sell all their holdings and short the market as it drops for a final leg and they earn 20% gains on the entire market dropping rather than 0% with insurance or -30% without. This is a perfect setup for final leg.
