Largest winner as % of gross profit
This metric identifies the degree to which a single outlier trade is responsible for your strategy's total gains. It expresses the Largest Winning Trade (Monetary) as a percentage of your Gross Profit.
Exclusions: This only looks at the relationship between your single best winner and your total winners; it does not factor in your losing trades.
Strategic value:
- High percentage (e.g., >30%): Suggests "Fragility." Your strategy may be heavily dependent on a single "star trade." If you remove that one trade, the strategy might become unprofitable.
- Low percentage (e.g., <10%): Suggests "Robustness." Your gains are distributed across many trades, meaning your edge is consistent and less reliant on rare market "lottery" wins.
