Plots CAGR lines for a given set of rates

Amazon.com, Inc.NASDAQ

Deskripsi

Plots CAGR lines for a given set of rates from a specified time. It will be helpful to see how the rate of growth of a security's price is changing over a period of time. It also calculates the current CAGR from the time specified. Works on D, W, M timeframes.

Catatan Rilis

Added an ability to set custom start date on/off. If this option is unchecked (by default unchecked) earliest date available in TradingView for the security will be used as start date.

OSM Script & Great Effort's,

"3 Suggestion's"
Can we get the "Begin at" line at the lowest point of every chart by Default when we change the script (rather than dragging it every time to the low for every chart) so that it would be easy and fast for all of us to calculate the actual CAGR % from bottom rather than the (random start date).

Hope you'll work on this in your next update, (next 2 Suggestion's after this update).

Once Again Well Done...!!!

@Imvipultiwari, Thank for using the script and providing suggestions. I have updated the script to use the earliest date available as default. You could override it to set a custom date as well.
Imvipultiwari
@iravan, I requested you this "Can we get the "Begin at" line at the *lowest point* of every chart by Default when we change the script (rather than dragging it every time to the low for every chart)"

By Default the line should be at the lowest point/price of the script.... (Not at the earliest date).

@Imvipultiwari, Ok, I missed that point! Will write another script to get current CAGR from all-time-low. Meanwhile, could you please explain how is that number useful?
Imvipultiwari
@iravan, Ok, So for all the user's who want to calculate the CAGR % of the stock will be calculating the same by entering three values i.e. (Low, High* (Or the current Price/LTP (Closing value)) & the no. of year's from low to high/LTP (Closing value)all together in CAGR Formula and Boom.... Which is the correct way & also sound's logical rather than calculating the CAGR from the random start point and adding unnecessary price & years in the formula for the incorrect CAGR %,

Also in "Elliot Wave Theory" we consider the lowest point of the chart to start the labelling of the wave structure (rather than the random start point) Which again sound's logical & is the correct way of analyzing the chart from bottom of the chart,

If this small useful changes is been corrected in your script then we can use your script to the "Peak", and will be able to calculate the accurate CAGR % of all the chart's (Just by simply using your 'Osm' script).
drgentleman1
how is it work?
iravan
@drgentleman1, Gets "open" value from the specified "Begin At" bar and calculates its incremental values for each bar based on annual CAGR specified (Growth Rate 1, 2 and 3). Does this answer your question?
drgentleman1
@iravan, it didnt calculate.
