@kcheng1971, I don't know if you figured out yet but for future people.. I believe he meant the "long to short distance is big". In other words when the moving averages cross each other with one going in a stronger direction. In the case of his chart for example, "may 19 2017 15:00" is where you had the "long" ma(moving averages) cross above the the "short" ma's with a widening gap.
