are you expecting interest rates to catch up or commodities to catch down? I'm of the latter.

@BMLemon, Hypothetically, 8 months of increasing CPI, followed by stagflation, assisted by government money to pay people not to work, which if looking back in history at the few samples of this happening. For example. In desperation, President Jimmy Carter tried to combat economic weakness and unemployment by increasing government spending, and he established voluntary wage and price guidelines to control inflation. Both were largely unsuccessful. A perhaps more successful but less dramatic attack on inflation involved the "deregulation" of numerous industries, including airlines, trucking, and railroads.

These industries had been tightly regulated, with the government controlling routes and fares. Support for deregulation continued beyond the Carter administration. In the 1980s, the government relaxed controls on bank interest rates and long-distance telephone service, and in the 1990s it moved to ease regulation of local telephone service.

Real estate and equities with P/E ratios propped up by iPhone retail traders will end as will the massive amount of Americans about to lose the free money they have gotten to not work nor produce any goods in the lean capacity which was aways known. Add the delta variant, and you can assume the only thing that could assist would be a 15$ minimum wage. That happening isn't my decision, but it would the only solution at that point from an economical perspective
